TERZO°MDR is a Mediterranean concept with Italian and Spanish influences
TERZO°MDR, a Mediterranean concept with Italian and Spanish influences, is helmed by Executive Chef Brian Lavin, named one of Zagat National’s “30 Under 30,” the restaurant will focus heavily on seafood and offer happy hour and dinner six nights a week. The name “Terzo” comes from the Italian idea of having a ‘third place’ to spend one’s time -- home, work, and TERZO°MDR, where guests can unwind after a long day over food and drinks.
“I was inspired by my travels abroad through the Mediterranean to create a concept that celebrates the vibrant flavors of that region while utilizing the fresh, local produce and ingredients available to us in Southern California,” said Chef Lavin, who recently relocated from Baltimore, MD to pursue this new opportunity. “So many Italian and Spanish dishes are centered around seafood, and my goal with the menu is to transport people to a tiny, hidden-away restaurant in the Mediterranean from the comfort of their third place here in Marina del Rey.”
